I wanted to sleep on the floor because it was really hot at night and the floor was really cool, the air conditioner was low and I couldn't make the room cooler. The great thing about is the floor is comfy too so I had a good night sleep.
Quaint and simple. Good place for just spending the night and rest and have a nice hot shower in the morning. Staff is friendly and they have coffee and sweet bread (pan dulce) in the morning, also cereal and milk. Very very affordable. Last and not least, very safe. We left out truck loaded with all our gear and nothing was touched. Heard from other people the same thing.
I like the Hotel Soria, and give it 4 stars not because it is a four-star hotel, but because it meets my basic needs for an overnight hotel - it is clean, comfortable, secure, has comfortable beds with big pillows, satellite TV, quiet mini-split air conditioners, great WiFi (the best I've found in any hotel I've stayed at in the area) and abundant hot water. Depending on the location of your room you may hear some background traffic noise, but that's the case for all of the hotels along this road - and the Soria Norte costs as little as half the price of the others. In the morning you can stop by the room behind the reception area for a cup of coffee, cereal and pan dulce (Mexican sweet bread). Recommended for budget travelers who want to save their money so they can buy more things in Alamos!
